Welcome to TEMPO

Mission Overview

NASA's first Earth Venture Instrument mission measures key gases and aerosols impacting air quality across North America, from the Yucatán Peninsula to northern Canada, and from the Atlantic to the Pacific, on an hourly basis and with high spatial resolution. TEMPO collects data from a geostationary vantage point aboard the telecommunications spacecraft Intelsat-40e, launched in April 2023.
